The new dining hall, funded by BILD hilft e.V. 'Ein Herz für Kinder', has been the culinary heart of Dunia ya Heri since March 2025. After years of cooking in the far too small original kitchen (which had been intended only for baby food), all children can now eat together. The kitchen is outfitted with high-quality appliances from Germany, including food processors, a reverse-osmosis system for clean water, and gas and electric stoves. A dedicated photovoltaic system supplies the dining hall with power. Vegetarian meals are prepared here daily — using fresh ingredients from our farm and garden. The dining hall is a lively place of exchange where community is practised and gratitude for daily bread is taught.
